Birth certificate states her name as Kate - her baptism record calls her Catharina - her family always knew her as Kathleen or Katie. Her baptism sponsors were Thomas Byrne and Gertrude Wood.
Was a great dressmaker and this was her occupation. She met her husband through another girl who worked with her - Frank's sister Margaret.
For as long as I can remember "Grandma" always lived with us - first at Surat and then at Roma. My father adored her and always said that he lost his right arm the day she died. She was always there for us - sewed everything we wore. She was a great catholic and loved going to mass. She died of cancer and is buried in Roma.
