Notes for John Hessom
I haven't been able to locate John Hessom in the 1861 census.

On 25 Nov 1862, his second wife Ellen died at 20 Eldon Street, Birkenhead. Her death certificate gave her occupation as wife of John Hessom, Baker, Journeyman. John may have moved to Birkenhead by this time.

In the 1861 census, Eliza Emily Kegg (Thomas Hessom's future wife) was living at 18 Eldon Street, and there was an O'Neil household at no 20.
