Very little is known about his wife. Her obituary notice in the Tenterfield Star on August 21 1895 says:-
"On Sunday Mrs Noonan, wife of Mr M Noonan of Sunnyside passed away at the advanced age of 70, the deceased lady had been ailing for a considerable time past, so that her demise was not unexpected. The funeral which took place on Monday was an unusually large one and testified to the respect in which she was held".
