In 1861 and 1871, his grandaughter Mary Ann Johnson is living in his household. In 1861, she is listed as Mary Ann * Johnson, age 6 months, where * could read Sivell, Livell, or Tivells (in the index on Ancestry, it is transcribed as Swell). In 1871, we find only Mar A Johnson, age 10. In both cases, her place of birth is given as Derby. There is one match in the FreeBMD indexes for Mary Ann Johnson, 1860, Derby, i.e. Mary Ann Tivells Johnson, 1860 Dec Derby 7b 376. Presumably, Mary Ann was the illegitimate daughter of one of Robert's daughters.
