LancashireBMD has a marriage (1905 Liverpool, St Peter 2122LP/106/97) between a William Kirkbride and Eliza Jane Pitt. This is the same church at which Eliza Jane's daughter Emma married William Kirkbride in 1905.

We know from the 1901 census that she had a sister, Ellen, who was then 23 and married to Herbert S. Hodgson, 26, a metal planer, from Liverpool, with one daughter, Dorothy, age 1.

There is a marriage between Herbert S. Hodgson and Ellen Graham, Liverpool, St. Peter, 1899 (LancashireBMD 2122LP/94/270).

We'll adopt the working hypothesis that Eliza Jane's maiden name was Graham.
